Railgating to the Meadowlands

OK I am exaggerating just a bit. I didn't actually "railgate" yesterday due to being a bit hurried to the train.

For those of you who don't know, railgating is tailgating on a train. This means you have to have alcohol.

You can railgate on any train system, but you're only truly railgating when you are on a train that permits the consumption of said alcohol. Anyone can brownbag. But only the awesome can drink LEGALLY.

Anyways, all this experience did was make me excited for football season. If these people got this rowdy on a train for an exhibition soccer match, then wait until the fall.

The New Meadowlands were pretty cool. Very nice stadium, all views were fantastic, and the beer is easily accessible.

The one thing I did notice though was the sub-par selection of food options in the stadium. I had recently went to a game at the new Yankee stadium, and lets just say I was in food Heaven. I probably ate 6 different meals while there, and all of them were awesome and diverse.

At the new Meadowlands, you couldn't get much beyond burger/hot dog/fries. Not trying to sound like a prick and suggest that I require fancier foods, but just saying, it's nice to have options.

It's been a while

But it's time to get pumped again. Training camp has started for NFL teams, and more importantly, I just received my 2010 NC State season tickets in the mail. WOOT!

I hope to get the picture tradition back up and rolling this year. Get your livers ready.

Gameday Eve for Pittsburgh

God, where has the time gone? Time to get ready for another exciting game, last one before ACC play kicks in full swing. I'm flying straight in to the tailgate once again, so it's gonna be a quick turnaround. Super pumped.

On the way to RDU, missed my first flight this a.m. but got another, I can't be stopped!!!

Gardner Webb Game Week

Another day, another FBS team to beat up on. I really wish we could have gotten these tuneup games prior to USC, but it is what it is.

I'm looking forward to another mindless tailgate/game that won't rile me up at all. I've had a rough week, so I can use a little relaxation on this Saturday.

I'm hoping for the same results as the Murray State game. In fact, anything less would honestly be disappointing. This is how you're supposed to deal with these teams, lay it on and make sure everyone knows that you are taking care of business. Bring on Pitt.

65 - 7

That was awesome/brutal. Looks like we've worked out some kinks on offense, and the D continues to stifle.

I know I know, it was a 1-AA team (FBS whatever), but it was still EXACTLY what we needed to do, and is the precise outcome that we were looking for. I expect a repeat next week, followed by a solid showing vs. Pitt.

Tailgating was awesome. Got to catch up with lots of good folk, and that will only continue. Love 'em all.

Sitting at JFK, waiting to board. Even though we play a lower tier team today, it does not lighten my excitement one bit. It is going to be a good day indeed!

DAY BEFORE GAME

OK people. It's Gameday Eve again. I think we can safely carry over the voting from last week's booze poll and just settle early on micheladas.

I'm also saddened that no silly pictures came from the day's tailgate. Let's make that happen this time around. And oh yeah, maybe if I don't get blackout drunk, I'll update this blog on a more regular basis during the game.

Mid week game week

Well folks, after a few days of digesting the USC loss, I can say that I am over it, and am now simply ready for another game and another brilliant day of NC State football.

While I believe we DEFINITELY should have won that game, in the grand scheme of things, it's not too important, and I'd rather us get a loss out of the way now and fix the issues in preparation for our ACC slate.

Who's ready for a Saturday tailgate where we can go crazy and not worry so much about the actual game? Stress relief time.

Well that sucked.

Gonna take me a few days to soak all of that in and decide how I really feel. Awkward and uncomfortable are the first words that come to mind today.
